The visit went well. Jackson was a little stand-offish, but he came around quickly. Abby was just glad to see a person. She got a bit gritchy with him at one point during the visit, but she called off easily. Darn females. Mine’s like this too with my male.
Puppies are great. They were in the house when I arrived. Good thing as it was the hottest day ever today. They lasted all of 20 minutes outside, then we decided to go in and watch kickboxing on tv. Not a fan of it, but it was left on from the other sitter.
Hmmm….Slash got a bit muddy today. I wonder where he’s been digging, as I haven’t discovered it yet. Fortunately, the mud was dried when I brought them in for the afternoon. So much crate time, it makes me feel bad. I was able to spend another hour with them this afternoon, to help alleviate my guilt. By the way, Tex is pristine white. HE’s not digging!
The babies think it’s awfully hot.
Okay, no reason to mention it’s hot, is there? Ugh!
The fur babies are doing well. Violet’s been very chatty and even Mable was extra sociable this evening. She didn’t go into her cave once and acted like she was starving. It makes me wonder whether Violet takes most of the food.
Slash and Tex are good buddies again, of course. This afternoon, we stayed upstairs cuddling for an hour (I had some extra time). Slash won the bid for laying on top of me.
Everyone’s doing well and of course the boys were quite jumpy. Slash got a bit grumpy with Tex this evening. I’m not sure what it was about, but believe it may have been over one of the food dishes. Tex scampered off for awhile and then later decided he wanted to start a play fight with him. It seems they’re over it now. I did have to pull out a bigger knife to cut their dog food roll as opposed to using the little serrated knife. With a hard cast on my right hand, I needed better leverage. Fortunately, the cast comes off in the next few weeks (counting down the days!)
Oh! I see you’re working on one bedroom. The puppies had a little accident in there, so I’ve blocked them out using a couple of the framed photos. More spot cleaning will be necessary. Other than this, they’ve been quite ecstatic.
Neena’s not too sure of my hot pink hard cast. She tries to paw it, but quickly removes her paw and I think the solidness of it is rather strange to her. I truly wish she could get her paw under it. This thing is soooo itchy! Cassius, obviously, has no problem with it.
The pups are doing well. I attempted to walk them together one night, but it didn’t work out so well. Patty jumped her collar to do a fence run with another dog. Took me quite a while to convince her to come back to me. She’s so silly. So, we’re back to individual walks and they don’t seem to mind this at all. Okay, Patty cries when we’re gone, but she’s so excited when we’re back!
Mason’s been a joy these past few days. He’s such a happy dog. The mid-day visits have been stifling hot, so we’re only out long enough to do business, then it’s all indoor play.
Today, no balls made it into the pool. That’s not to say a few throws didn’t erroneously hit a plant or a pup though. All was good today! They’re getting a bit low on their inside water though. I did find a pitcher, so that will be my way to fill the bowl at each visit tomorrow. It’s also been utilized to fill the outside bowl. It only requires three trips to the tap.
