The furkids got my first visit a little later today, so weren’t expecting me. I poked my head at the french doors, since they weren’t eagerly looking out, and shocked them.
This caused a barking ruckus, until they realized who was looking at them. Hehe. This excitement continued until we went outside. WOW! It was hot and humid. They didn’t like it, nor did I, but we stayed out about 20 minutes. This was about how long it took them to head to the shade and closest to the door just hoping it would open. They wanted air-conditioning!
I was going to walk them this evening, but it was still just as hot and sticky as earlier today. Yuck! Then the strangest thing happened. I could see the clouds building to the north, but truly thought it was too far north to affect T-town. I was wrong. After 20 minutes of my arrival (and me thinking how horribly hot and sticky it is), winds began blowing and the temps dropped 10 degrees with the humidity lifting at that point. It was a breath of fresh air for all of us. So, we were then able to play with abandon. I grabbed Cassius’ toy and we started the fetch game he so loves before returning inside for bedtime.

Bad news to report….Sassy is feeling a tad under the weather.
I’m keeping a watch on her and she seems okay, just not as perky and not eating due to not keeping it down. Poor girl. She also had a moment on the carpet in the living room, which I dabbed up with paper towels and then with wet paper towels. It will need some more attention upon your return though. Since these used paper towels filled up the trash can, I took out the trash bag to the canister and then noticed it must be trash day. Well heck! Let me just slide the entire trash canister to the curb then! No reason to have any type of mysterious odors attracting wayward tomcats or other critters. I’ll report more on Sassy tomorrow, but will note that Zoey’s still happy and just fine. I also expect Sassy will make a full recovery very soon.
