I have egg on my face. Not literally, of course, but my day was so busy I kept assuming this was the final day. I went a little earlier for the evening visit, thinking you were coming home later that evening, and did all the usual “end of sit” stuff. At the end, I had the dogs outside one more time and started thinking (questioning?) my accuracy. So I looked on my Blackberry calendar and realized I’m a doofas. Soooo, the dogs got to see me a third time today. They didn’t seem to mind too much. Actually, they were ecstatic! They’re still doing well, but it does appear Orey “hiked” on your sofa. Why? I have no idea. I blotted as best possible, but may need some more spot cleaning later. BAD Orey, BAD!

No, he’s not sassing me. I just caught him as he’s chewing food.

All is well. Got your note about the front pots. I checked them on the way in this morning and there was still some moisture in the soil. I’ll check them again tomorrow morning, as that’s the best time to water.

Hupi’s back to her games with trying to sit on my lap. Then she’ll drop the ball in front of her, staring at it, just daring me to take it from her. Oh the fun.

This pet sitter is very tired this evening, so time to sign out. Sleep well everyone!

Hunni, or is it Bear, has become much braver now. There’s no more scurrying to the hidey-hole and I think it’s because H or B knows I mean food….never bad things.

Orey and Stella are still doing awesome. Orey didn’t like being shuttled away while Stella was eating, but who would like someone just staring at them while doing so! Bad manners Orey!

Good news! The diarrhea is gone as of yesterday! Thank goodness! I also discovered they aren’t big fans of the lamb stew, but we’ve now moved on to the beef formula of food. :). Hunni and Bear are doing great. One of them will now eat the lettuce from my hand. The other still hides. Don’t ask me which one though. ;)

The fur and fin kids are well. The weather was so gorgeous this morning for our walk. There’s a family of ducks at the pond with 8 or so ducklings. They had their eye on us, but stayed put and we had a great view of them.

I checked your backyard pots and all still have good moisture. One pot will definitely need some water tomorrow and most likely the plants on the fence will.

Hmmm….a little more diarrhea tonight. It’s never there in the morning. Also, tonight wasn’t complete “ick” as there was some solid stuff too. I’m truly thinking it’s a little stress from all the sounds during the day. You know what a frenzy Stella creates within herself with the outside noises. I’m not concerned about the upset tummy (tummies?), since they are both eating and drinking well.

The kids met me at the door. Loki was actually peering out to see who arrived. Trace and I played with the retrieving stick outside, but I left it outside on the picnic table. It was slightly raining and the toy had gotten covered with grass. They are now happily in their pen for the evening. Luckily, we’re not expecting much rain, so they shouldn’t have a problem staying dry.

Hooray! Hunni or is it Bear took a piece of lettuce from me. I knew they would come around.

One of the puppies had diarrhea from the a.m. visit to the p.m. visit. Boo! Fortunately, it was only located in the living room so it was fairly easy cleaning. I did want to ask if the a.c. was off and did you want it to remain off. The temperature again is rising into the 80′s during the day, which makes it a bit warm during my p.m. visit. The dogs look comfortable enough. The smell was a bit overpowering tonight though after today’s little stomach upset.

Stella’s still eating well. Woo-hoo! The guinea pigs are still not warming up. It might have helped if I had opened up the newer container of lettuce, instead of attempting to use the last two pieces of soggy lettuce. I’m just not one to waste anything, unless it’s spoiled.

Sorry about not posting last night. Exhaustion got the best of me…and I even took a nap!!!

The pups were soooo happy to see me. Both greeted me at the door and Stella was doing her “hello” dance. It’s so cute! They’ve been very good for me. I’m not sure about Stella’s eating habits though. She’s been eating like a horse for me.

I find the guinea pigs quite shy of me. If I get too close to their cage, they scurry into their holes. It’s okay though. I feed them and then give them their space while watching. They are cute when I do get to see them. I might try dangling the lettuce piece (seem to like that the best) for them and maybe that will build their confidence with me. We’ll see what happens.
